Rubber Flooring at Progress Works Gym, Leicester.
A little about Progress works Gym in Leicester.
Progress Works gym is the old Sole Fitness gym in Glenfield, Leicester.
The new owner decided to change the name of the gym from Sole Fitness to Progress Works. He also wanted to give the gym a big upgrade with equipment, decoration and flooring.
Being a business owner myself, I have a massive amount of respect for fellow business owners that try to make their business the best that it can possibly be, this obviously comes at a financial cost.
Rubber Flooring at Progress Works Gym.
Carpet was the product that the cardio equipment was on.
Cardio equipment is not ideal on carpet, when people sweat it is absorbed into the carpet and will begin to smell.
Working with Neil the gym owner we decided to use rubber flooring in this area as it has so many functions, rubber flooring is expensive but it will last the lifetime of the gym and some of the advantages of it are below:
- easy to clean
- does not absorb sweat or any other fluids
- comfortable under foot
- absorbs sound and rustic static
- heavy impact resistance
Sometimes it is worth paying more if it lasts longer.
Putting flooring in a gym is very disruptive to the owner and members, if it can be done once then i recommend spending a little more for rubber flooring to no that it may not have to be done again.
The Rest of the Flooring in the gym.
Phase 1 of our works was to supply and install new entrance matting and JHS carpet tiles to the reception of the gym.
We installed Heckmondwike matting in colour anthracite to the entrance of the gym.
JHS triumph loop carpet tiles were used for the main reception.
Part of the gym is the home to the weight machines, we decided to freshen up this area with new black carpet tiles.
The total size was 130m2 and the new tiles looked great, as the pictures show.
