We recently installed polysafe standard to the servery area of Eastfield primary school in Leicester.
A little about the flooring project
Working with a main contractor, we supplied and installed 50m2 of polysafe safety flooring to the new servery area of Eastfield primary school.
The school is in Thurmaston, Leicester.
We used Ardex cl smoothing compound latex to prepare the sub-floor.
The smoothing compound ensures that the sub floor is flat and smooth, this is essential for the end appearance and performance of the safety flooring.
‘Preparation is key’
The polysafe safety flooring was ‘capped and coved’ 100mm up the wall.
Why use a cap and cove installation technique?
- makes cleaning the floor easier
- the floor is 100% watertight with all corners and joints welded together
- looks aesthetically pleasing
- saves installing a tradition wooden skirting board, in a wet area these can rot.
